Katie McGinnis began her training at Moves Dance Studio and was soon after invited to train with SoleUnique Dance Company, where she progressed rapidly in only 4 years under the instruction of Victoria Bunch and Anthony Foster.  While on the competition circuit, Katie was awarded numerous scholarships, accolades and recognition on both regional and national levels leading to continued training in Myrtle Beach, SC in the summer of 2009.  Katie has participated in summer intensives at the Lou Conte Dance Studio and Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet.  She has also appeared onstage for State Street Dance Studios2009 production of The Nutcracker.  Katie credits her rapid growth as an artist and technician to the years she spent with SoleUnique and now, higher education as a performing member of Chicago's professional NoMiLaMad Dance, Inc.  

Katie is now in her second year as company assistant and in her sixth year of working with Soleunique.  Growing up in the Soleunique program groomed Katie to be a perfect candidate for the position of company assistant as she has experienced the company's growth from its earliest stages.  Her presence, point-of-view and experience are pivotal in the day-to-day operations, artistic and educational aspects of Soleunique Dance Company.
